GTA 6 Gets Two Limited-Edition PS5 DualSense Controllers: Pricing, Design Details, and Pre-Order Dates

Sony and Rockstar Games reveal Black and White Vice City-inspired DualSense wireless controllers arriving in November.

Two limited-edition PS5 DualSense controllers inspired by GTA 6 sit against a neon Vice City-style skyline, with black and white designs featuring palm tree details and color-shifting finishes.

Official State of Play Hardware Reveal

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Rockstar Games officially announced two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controllers during the September 3 State of Play showcase. The collaboration marks the latest hardware partnership between the two companies, introducing custom controller designs ahead of the highly anticipated open-world title. Both versions are scheduled to launch globally on November 19, 2026, and function across all standard and revised PlayStation 5 consoles.

  • Black Limited Edition: Designed with a dark aesthetic inspired by the neon-drenched nightlife of Vice City.
  • White Limited Edition: Styled around sun-bleached coastal beaches and warm pastel skies.

Vice City Aesthetics and DualSense Features

Both controllers draw visual cues directly from the setting of Grand Theft Auto VI. Each model features an iridescent, color-shifting outer coating that catches the light across the shell, paired with custom palm leaf motifs molded directly into the grip casing. The official Grand Theft Auto VI logo is prominently printed on the central touchpad, tying the distinct color palettes together.

Under the hood, both accessories retain standard DualSense hardware functionality without alterations to internal layouts. The built-in adaptive triggers and dynamic haptic feedback motors are tuned to respond directly to the driving, combat, and environmental mechanics found throughout Vice City.

Pre-Order Times, Retail Channels, and Pricing

Pre-orders for both limited-edition controllers open on September 10, 2026. In the United States, listings go live at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET through PlayStation Direct, with international territories launching at 10:00 AM local time. Both the Black and White editions carry an official retail price of $84.99 USD, £74.99 GBP, €84.99 EUR, and ¥12,480 JPY.

Buyer availability differs based on the specific colorway chosen. The White Limited Edition will be sold through PlayStation Direct alongside major third-party participating retailers. In contrast, reports indicate the Black Limited Edition is structured primarily as a PlayStation Direct exclusive in regions where Sony's direct storefront operates, with third-party availability limited to territories without direct service.
